This exhibit focuses on the importance of humanity’s connection with ocean life, especially corals. Corals are keystone species, creating the most biodiverse and biologically dense ecosystem on the planet. Oceans provide food, reefs provide protection from waves, oceans impact weather, and so much more. For life on land to thrive, the oceans must thrive. By sharing the shells and corals that fascinate and inspire me, I’m hoping this collection provides a moment of pause; allowing my viewers to take a breath from their daily lives and appreciate something bigger than ourselves. The oceans need our help, and a portion of processes from this exhibit will go to the Coral Restoration Fund.
